Brrr

Here are my "You know its cold in Idaho" that I made up coming home from work @ 6AM today. Remember that I was sleep deprived and driving home in snow and -5 degree weather with a light jacket on! Just thought I would share since they were so funny this morning, maybe they are only funny going on 24hrs without any sleep...based on a true story.

You know its cold in Idaho when you race with your co-workers to see who can get their car scraped and de-iced first. Sure, lets make a game out of being miserable, and pretend that we are not freezing!

You know its cold in Idaho when you are driving around, and all the other drivers are hunched over looking through a small area on their window that they scraped off, the rest of the window and windows still have snow and ice on them...real safe.

You know its cold in Idaho when you didn't bring gloves for the ride home, so you resort to the mitted ice scraper, alternating hands on the way home.

You know its cold in Idaho, when for spring break the only people wearing swim suits are the snowmen that kids built outside on your front lawn.

You know its cold in Idaho when you have to de-ice your ice scraper before you de-ice and scrape your car.

You know its cold in Idaho when you spilt snow inside your car at the beginning of your shift and 12 hrs later, the snow is still gleaming white all over your seat, no melting there!

You know its cold in Idaho when you sit on the snow covered seat and when you get home, your butt was so cold it didn't even melt the snow but left a huge butt impression on your seat. Nice.

You know its cold in Idaho when even your dog refuses to go outside to go potty, and when you force her, she stands on one or two legs to prevent the others from touching the snow.

You know its cold in Idaho when on your way home you start to sing Christmas Carols, preferably "winter wonderland", "jingle bells" and "Frosty the Snowman"...with weather like this Christmas MUST be around the corner!

I had a few more, but since sleeping I cannot remember them. I would love to hear yours when you think of them...gotta love the snow in Idaho!
